The most expensive apartment purchase transaction in January was the sale of an 8-room, 250-square-meter apartment on Ramat Golan Street in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood of Jerusalem, for NIS 16.1 million ($4.41 million), according to the Tax Authority. The apartment also includes a balcony with an area of 80 square meters.
The apartment is on the fifth floor of seven in a 36-apartment building, where the company JRD (Jerusalem Real-estate Development) is promoting a TAMA 38 strengthening project. As part of the project, two floors and 12 apartments are expected to be added to the 24 existing apartments in the building, which was originally built in the 1970s.
The project also includes the addition of a large lobby, an elevator with the option of operating as a Shabbat elevator, and balconies for the sukkah. The project's original occupancy date is in six months, but according to the developers it is expected to be delayed because of the security situation.
