NIS 1.1 billion for works and excavations in Jerusalem. About NIS 130 million for everything else.
The municipal finance committee approved a huge budget of more than NIS 1 billion for infrastructure works, which means more excavation and construction work. At the same time, about NIS 115 million was approved for educational buildings, a few million for community buildings and more.
Additional large-scale works worth hundreds of millions will follow soon. The budget, approved by the municipal finance committee, is intended to advance transportation, education, public buildings, infrastructure and urban resilience projects throughout the city. According to municipal officials, the budgets are intended to carry out and accelerate work on the ground, improve accessibility and safety, strengthen the education system and ensure functional continuity even in emergency situations.
Approximately NIS 1.1 billion for infrastructure and transportation.
Approximately NIS 331 million for paving the Quarries Highway: construction of a new transportation route approximately 4 km long, including interchanges, drainage systems, street lighting and safety infrastructure. The highway will connect the city's northern neighborhoods with Highway 1 and the national roads, and will allow traffic loads to be redistributed in the Ramot, Pisgat Zeev and Neve Yaakov areas.
Approximately NIS 266 million will go toward developing and improving transportation routes in the city's eastern neighborhoods: paving the Al-Jadid road, improving the Ahl al-Talib road, building a road adjacent to the Shuafat border, developing the Al-Jawza-Neve Yaakov road, completing the Abu Tor bypass (Phase B), improving the Al-Ismai road (Phase B) and developing access roads to the schools of Wadi Joz and Bir al-Krum. The works include paving, sidewalks, street lighting, drainage, regulated intersections, parking solutions, stops and bus bays, with the aim of strengthening accessibility, safety and the connection of the eastern, northern and southern neighborhoods of the city to the main transportation system.
Approximately NIS 120 million for widening Highway 437 Hizma - Shaar Binyamin: the route will be widened to two lanes, public transportation lanes will be added and intersections will be upgraded to reduce congestion at the city's eastern entrance.
Approximately NIS 105 million for the Western Gateway and the Shazar Underground Parking Garage: construction of an underground parking garage with a capacity of approximately 1,370 spaces on five levels, including ventilation, safety and traffic management systems, as part of the city access project.
Approximately NIS 100 million for the Nahal Og bus terminal and parking facility: construction of an operational complex that includes overnight parking, electric charging stations, buildings for drivers and a control center, in order to strengthen the public transportation system in the northeast of the city.
Approximately NIS 25 million for the Givat HaTachmoshut parking facility: construction of a parking facility and a temporary bus terminal to improve traffic regulation for public transportation.
Approximately NIS 20 million for the Benvenisti Malha terminal: development of an operational terminal that includes parking, a logistics system and service buildings.
Approximately NIS 19 million for a strategic public transportation and roads plan: formulation of a multi-year policy for the integration of public transportation, private vehicles and walking mobility.
Approximately NIS 16 million for a master plan and transportation studies: carrying out traffic studies, transportation models and future planning of the road network.
Approximately NIS 11 million for public transportation management: implementation of control, management and coordination systems among operators.
Approximately NIS 10 million for public transportation detours on the Blue Line: temporary adjustments, dynamic signage and arrangement of alternative stops during the works.
Approximately NIS 10 million for public transportation planning for Jerusalem - Beit Shemesh: advancing statutory planning and assessing alternatives for a future line.
Approximately NIS 9 million for the development of an urban transportation model: developing real-time congestion forecasting systems and traffic light management.
Approximately NIS 7 million for an underpass in the station complex: construction of a grade-separated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists.
Approximately NIS 6 million for bicycle parking: installation of protected facilities at stations and employment centers.

Approximately NIS 26 million for the creation of a special education school in Beit Hanina: a specialized institution that includes adapted classrooms, treatment rooms, rehabilitation spaces and a full accessibility system, for the benefit of students with special needs from the east of the city.
Approximately NIS 20 million for strengthening and renovating the Lida High School: structural elements will be reinforced, electrical, air conditioning and safety systems will be modernized, and the building will be adapted to earthquake standards and advanced pedagogical needs.
Approximately NIS 11 million for completing construction of an elementary school in Givat Ram: an existing building will be completed, and classrooms, a library and science rooms will be added, to expand educational capacity in the area.
Approximately NIS 11 million for the creation of the Banot Homat Shmuel School: a new educational complex that includes classrooms, laboratories, activity rooms and adapted yards.
Approximately NIS 11 million for the construction of the Mekor Haim High School: a new educational building for state religious education, including advanced learning spaces and protected spaces.
Approximately NIS 10 million for the construction of a new high school in Mekor Haim: a new institution that will respond to population growth in the south of the city.
Approximately NIS 9 million for adding a wing to the Torat HaEmek School, Neve Yaakov: expansion of the existing building with classrooms, teachers' rooms and learning spaces.
Approximately NIS 6 million for expanding the Kiryat Moshe School: expansion of classrooms and modernization of infrastructure to increase the number of students and reduce crowding.
Approximately NIS 6 million for the construction of a kindergarten complex in Malcha: a preschool complex that includes kindergarten classrooms, yards, protected spaces and care areas.
Approximately NIS 5 million for the creation of kindergartens in Beit Hanina, which will allow the kindergarten system to expand and make early childhood education services accessible in the neighborhood.
Approximately NIS 20 million for energy and infrastructure security.
Approximately NIS 19 million for strengthening energy security and the municipal backup infrastructure, establishing energy storage systems, modernizing electrical systems in public buildings, and installing generators and backup systems in essential facilities to maintain functional continuity in emergency situations.
Approximately NIS 9 million for developing infrastructure management and resilience systems, developing smart control systems for managing energy, water and communications, and strengthening the municipality's capacity to manage loads and failures.
Approximately NIS 7.5 million for community buildings.
Approximately NIS 5 million for the creation of the Wadi Qadom Sports Hall, a multipurpose hall for sports activities, classes, community events and informal education programs.
Approximately NIS 2.5 million for the creation of the Amianto Youth Club, a center dedicated to youth activities that includes learning spaces, workshops, social support and meeting spaces.
