The Central Bureau of Statistics Published Last Night (Sunday)

The Central Bureau of Statistics published the housing market price index for the updated month last night (Sunday), as part of the consumer price index for November 2024.
According to the index, despite an overall decrease of 0.4% compared with October 2024, apartment prices in Israel showed a moderate increase in recent weeks, when comparing the prices of transactions carried out in September-October 2024 with those of August-September 2024: apartment prices appear to have risen by 0.5%.
Compared with September 2024, there were several changes in apartment prices by district: in Jerusalem there was a decrease of 0.4%, while in the North there was an increase of 1.5%. Haifa, the Center and Tel Aviv saw slight changes, with a decrease of 0.2% in Haifa, an increase of 0.4% in the Center and an increase of 1.0% in Tel Aviv. In the South, apartment prices rose by 0.4%. In addition, the prices of new apartments rose by 0.3%.
On an annual basis, there was a significant increase in the apartment price index, as the prices of transactions carried out in September-October 2024 rose by 6.7% on average compared with the corresponding period in 2023.
The annual breakdown by district indicates notable price increases in the districts: Haifa with an increase of 11.1%, the North 9.5%, the Center 7.7%, Tel Aviv 5.9%, the South 5.2% and Jerusalem 1.7%. The annual new-apartment price index also recorded an increase of 3.6%.
