Israel Land Authority: this is the real estate plan that will be built in Jerusalem
The Israel Land Authority announced the approval of the "Lower Aqueduct" plan to be built in Jerusalem. The plan will include about 1,483 residential units and another 257 rental units.
This unique building plan was approved after many objections were raised in the District Committee for Planning and Building of the Jerusalem District. The "Lower Aqueduct" plan includes the establishment of a new neighborhood on an area of approximately 189 dunams in Jerusalem, south of Kibbutz Ramat Rachel.
According to the plan, educational and public institutions will be built, including kindergartens, two elementary schools with a capacity of about 12 classrooms each, and another secondary school.
The Israel Land Authority said the plan includes "public and educational buildings of various sizes that correspond to the needs of the residents and the city, and an urban square among the residences, where the ground floor of some of the residential buildings includes commercial areas." The firm "Ari Cohen-Michael Wind Architecture and Urban Planning" is responsible for the "Lower Aqueduct" plan, which will be built in Jerusalem, south of Kibbutz Ramat Rachel.
