Kiryat Menachem in Jerusalem: 840 Apartments Will Be Built
On Costa Rica Street, a 1.5-dunam plot will host a 22-story tower with 102 housing units. Of all the housing units, 21 will be small apartments of up to 80 square meters. To build the building, 25 old housing units in a 4-story residential building will be demolished.
In addition, an area will be allocated for an early childhood clinic and a kindergarten, as well as 180 square meters of commercial space on the ground floor of the building. The project was submitted by the Beit Yerushalmi Group and was prepared by Eli Rex Architects.
At 24-42 Island Street, on a 19-dunam plot not far from the light rail line on Henrietta Szold Street, 740 homes will be built in three buildings of 32 to 40 stories and two buildings of 10 stories, of which 148 will be small apartments of up to 55 square meters and 148 will be designated as long-term rental apartments. The buildings will be built in place of 80 existing housing units located in ten old buildings of 2 to 4 stories.
